Removing Icons from the Slide – Not the Show

When you add a movie or sound clip to a PowerPoint slide, a representative icon appears on the slide. If you want to keep the clip, but make the icon disappear:

1. Insert your movie and/or sound clip. Make sure you choose to play it automatically.
2. Drag the icon to the gray area surrounding the slide.
3. Click Save.
4. From the View menu, choose Slide Show. You should see or hear your clip when you reach the page.
